Improve website traffic
I am constantly being asked this very question.
How can I improve my websites traffic?
SEO – Get your site search friendly so that the search engines will index your pages.
Advertise – Advertise – Advertise… Advertise your site anyway you can.
Start a blog!,… Blogs are great ways to grab attention and get links to the pages you want to advertise.
Post to forums that deal with topics related to your website.
Have a gimmick,.. I know it just sounds bad, but having a gimmick whether it is a good slogan or a freebie is a way to get people coming back. Traffic is not just new customers but return customers as well.
Do what your competitors do. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If your competitor is doing something that works, try doing the same thing or atleast something similar.
Update your site regularly nothing kills your present traffic flow like old stagnate info or deals. Keep it fresh give people a reason to show up, or show up again.
Word of mouth. You would really be surprised at how many people visit sites because someone told them about it. Tell your site visitors to tell a friend. Make ways for them to tell a friend. Tell your friends or co-workers.
Send out e-mails. Their are many options from good old fashioned send-em one at a time e-mails to buying a bulk e-mail package and a list of prospects. However you gotta do it, just do it.
Not really least of all is media. T.V. if you have the budget, radio if not and always print media. Whatever the choice you can almost guarantee more traffic. The more you put in the more you will get out. The hard part is finding the right niche and the right balance between spending and return on investment.
Okay, so this is eleven, but who cares. Pay-Per-Click, this is my least favorite but at times can be a quickfix or atleast a jumpstart. The ultimate goal is natural traffic, but a good PPC campaign can send lots of traffic (at a premium).
