I need more website traffic
This is an all too common tragedy in the internet business world. I could not tell you how many times I have heard someone say to me. “I need more internet traffic.” The answer to this question is overwhelmingly simple and yet overwhelmingly complicated all at once.
Website Traffic is generated in a number of ways. There are the more traditional services like commercials, infomercials and radio. Then, there are those services that are not so new but are quickly becoming traditional like website marketing and SEO (search engine optimization).
I’m going to go ahead and give a quick top three list of the ways I think you can generate quick easy traffic to your website.
- 1. Optimize your website (seo).
- 2. List your site with the major search engines.
- 3. Tell people. Let your friends know of course, but also go through your e-mail contacts and send out personal invitations via e-mail to everyone in their. You would be shocked at how many people will come visit and actually start referring your site to others they know.
The real number one key to marketing your website is consistency in your plan, objectives, efforts and branding. If your campaign to market your website looks cheap or scammy, people will automatically sense it and run for the hills. You may fool some, but you will not scam the many.
Try to have one design look for everything you do. Try to find one color scheme and stick with it. Try to not sound too “cheap and salesmanish” when you are giving information to the public.
