Branding can really be defined as the both the look of a brand or the idea of a brand. When you see a certain shade of red mixed with a white cursive font you think of Coca-Cola. When you see a diamond shaped emblem you think of Superman. When you hear "Yes we can" you think Barack Obama. Branding is setting up who and what a product or company is and what it stands for.

In the business world branding is usually defined by a look. Logos and colors and even fonts tend to brand products for the masses. Your look is what initially sets you apart from the rest of the pack. Having a memorable logo and color scheme can invoke strong emotional bonds on the part of your prospects.
